2017 Workshops, Events and Education from the Alzheimer's Association

A Message from your local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association:

We know there is a great need for education and understanding about Alzheimer's disease, so we're prepared to provide it.

Help & Hope 2017 is for folks with early memory loss and their care partner. It is only offered in our county one time per year. Thanks to the Camarillo Library we can again offer the program in a central location. Lunch is provided for this free two day event.

Alzheimer's & Hope is the brain child of one of our "students". In this community event sponsored by St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, we'll provide basic information about the 10 warning signs and have a distinguished panel consisting of a family physician, pharmacist and caregiver available for a special question/answer session. Refreshments provided.

Registration is now open! Click here for the registration form.

The SAVVY Caregiver Series schedule for 2017 starts in the Alzheimer's Association office in Thousand Oaks in February. By special request, in March, we'll offer the series at the Simi Valley Senior Center. Meditech Health Services always serves as our host in Ventura in May and back to the gorgeous Sunrise at Westlake in Sept. Registration is required with a fee of $25 for 12 hours of training.

Lastly, the schedules for our Confident Caregiver Series for East and West Ventura County are attached. Our first class is next week on January 10th at the Camarillo Healthcare District.
